Abode's April Colour Showcase

Good morning and welcome to Abode. Today for our April Colour Showcase we would like to focus on natural, earthy tones and how they complement each other and other brighter colours. From pale oat linens to deep chocolatey brown, our feature this week aims to combine rich colours and comfort to create places that everyone can enjoy spending time in. We’ve included a few examples from Pinterest that will hopefully inspire you to try these versatile colours in your own home! If you see something you like, at First 4 Blinds we are more than happy to advise on your latest decorating project, so please feel free to get in touch or visit our Showroom in Northampton.

We love this fashionable colour from Pantone. This chocolate infused brown works perfectly as a base colour. We think that it would look great as a pair of statement curtains or used to upholster a chair or sofa. One of the best qualities of this deep colour is its versatility. You can also use it as a contrasting colour to white or to offset a brighter shade such as orange.

Neutral Linens

The image above shows a perfect example of layering delicate, neutral colours. By pairing similar colours together from the same colour palette, you can create a look that epitomises comfort. Also, the weave of linen allows for maximum air permeability that naturally keeps you cool. Our favourite use of linen is a structured top sheet in combination with soft white cotton as seen in the above image.

Turquoise Accents

We’ve saved the best for last in our Colour Showcase this week with this beautifully painted wooden staircase. Turquoise can in some ways still be considered an earth colour as a semi-precious stone. We love how it can transform a space adding a touch of summer without being too overbearing. Our favourite part of the picture above (besides the little puppy!) is the gradient of tones fading from dark to light as you move up the stairs. The effect elongates the staircase and maximises the hallway’s natural light, the perfect way to make the most of sunshine.

We hope you have enjoyed our Colour Showcase this week. Please feel free to get in touch for any advice or to find out more about our products and services here; https://www.first4blinds.com/contact-us/
