Abode’s Eggs-tra Special Easter Colour Showcase

Good evening and welcome to the long weekend! This week with Abode at First 4 Blinds, instead of our usual monthly Colour Showcase, this one is an Easter special. Although it’s still quite cold, sunny showers are definite signs Spring is arriving, as well as spotting daffodils all over the place. Easter is a celebration of new beginnings and a new season. It’s also a time for reflection and togetherness, so we hope however you choose to spend the next few days, you are filled with the joys of Spring.

If you’re a bit stuck for ideas on what to do this weekend, our inspiration blog might be exactly what you need. Whether you’re looking for a way to redecorate and refresh your home, or for the perfect party home accessories for hosting lunch or an egg hunt or two, our article this week is packed full of ideas all sourced from Pinterest.

Firstly below are two colours we feel really capture the festive spirit of Spring, they are delicate but can still add a subtle transformation to any room.

Pastels offer timeless Spring style; we love this peachy-apricot wall colour. It’s so soft yet very versatile as you can see in the picture above where it’s paired with white and small monochrome accessories. We think that this colour works so well as a warmer alternative to basic cream or white, and it’s gentle enough not to be overbearing. The perfect tone to welcome in the longer days and brighten up your home!

Our second pastel colour of choice this month is mint green. In the picture above we really like how this delicate colour is grouped with complementary grey, white and darker green shades. We particularly love the way the layers of the bedding add extra cosy comfort without compromising the overall style of the room.

And now moving on to part two of our article, a few decorating ideas that the Easter Bunny would certainly approve of…

This carrot-inspired door wreath is an inventive and very festive way to welcome your guests. It might require a bit of patience to put together, but we think you’ll agree the result is worth it!

If you’re hosting a lunch or dinner over the weekend, why not create a Springtime centrepiece for your table? We’ve found two examples that both use a simple glass vase but with very different styles.

The garden-themed centrepiece below captures not only the beauty of Spring but also the fresh new scents of the season with the inclusion of fresh herbs.

While the next table centrepiece suits a quirkier occasion,

We just love the delicate daisies paired so well with the little baby carrots!

Our last Easter feature for the week is the magnificent papier-mâché egg idea pictured above. It would definitely take some time and craft supplies to make, but we think it would be the perfect prize at the end of an Easter egg hunt! If you’re expecting little ones over the weekend, you could even hide smaller eggs inside it!

We hope you have enjoyed our Easter article this week. If you would like to find out more about our products and services at First 4 Blinds, please feel free to get in touch here; https://www.first4blinds.com/contact-us/
