Abode’s January Colour Showcase
Good evening and welcome to Abode this week. Today to celebrate the last remaining days of January we wanted to feature three of our favourite colour and decor trends we’ve seen emerging this year. From vibrant 'Amethyst' purple to fiery 'Caliente' red and some beautiful bamboo accent pieces. This month’s colour showcase is both warming and revitalising - perfect for these cold January days - we hope you enjoy it!

This dreamy jewel tone as pictured in its purest form above can be so versatile when applied to interior decorating. Whether you choose to use a little bit or a lot, it can brighten up a room while providing an attractive focal point. Amethysts are healing crystals too so perhaps adding aspects of this peaceful colour can add a touch of calm to your home. Pantone’s colour of 2018 ‘Ultraviolet’ is a variant of this shade, making 'Amethyst' fashionable but with plenty of substance.

And now for something exceptional. This spicy, bright red is the perfect bridge between the toasty Christmas reds of last month and the lighthearted reds of next month’s Valentine’s day. Benjamin Moore has named 'Caliente' their colour of the year, and we can certainly see the appeal. At First 4 Blinds, we would love to see this rich colour applied to a pair of curtains or blinds. We think it would look stunning on vertical blinds - the perfect statement piece! This colour pairs so well with crisp, clean white as seen in the image above. When the weather brightens up we can just imagine the soft winter sun dancing on this beautiful red…

Last but not least, we want to feature a trend that’s held its charm since last summer. When you need a cosy reminder of summer that can work all year round, these sculpted bamboo lampshades are ideal. In this image, we love the range of shapes and sizes, but it’s their soft, warm glow that makes them perfect for our showcase. Being made of wonderful bamboo makes these lampshades an excellent way to bring some beautiful nature into your home with no need to compromise on style.
So to end our January Colour Showcase, we hope to have sparked a few inspiring ideas for your home decorating projects. If you would like any advice or to see how our services at First 4 Blinds can help you, please feel free to get in touch here: http://www.first4blinds.com/contact-us/
