Abode's June Colour Showcase

Hello and welcome to Abode's June Colour Showcase. As June comes to an end this week, we wanted to round up a few of our favourite interior trends we've spotted this month. As a special summer edit, we wanted our colour showcase to be all about luxury and offer a few easy tips on how you can update your home. Even though you might rather focus your attention on relaxing in the garden or heading to the beach with an ice-cream, at First 4 Blinds, we think your home deserves a few treats too!

We have used Pinterest to source our inspiration images this week, but if you would like to see what we can offer you, come and visit our beautiful Northampton Showroom and Interiors Boutique. Get in touch today using the link at the end of our article. But for now, let's begin our June Colour Showcase...

At the top of our list this week is a colour you may not necessarily associate with hot summer days, dark, chocolatey brown. But this delicious dark wood shade is actually an ideal base colour for summer, especially when it's paired with crisp, classic white or vibrant bright colours. Adding this colour to your home can create a warm, Mediterranean feel and its versatility makes it a good investment that you can adapt with every changing season. At First 4 Blinds, we think this colour is absolutely perfect for wooden blinds, or for a real Mediterranean feel, a set of shutters, giving your home a gorgeous update and keeping it cool at the same time!

At Abode we don't think there's a more luxurious interior trend than silky, tassel fringing, as seen in the stunning lampshade above. You can style this look to be a little more Bohemian, or pair it with opulent metallics for the ultimate luxury look. As a key trend to watch this summer, tassels and fringe accessories are sure to be very popular.

Last but not least in our June Colour Showcase are chic canopy beds. We think this type of bedding is the epitome of style and summer luxury, allowing you to accessorise your bed without adding unnecessary heat. A look like this is a straightforward way to elevate the style of your bedroom. We love the sheer curtains in the picture above that add softness to the decor without blocking out any light.
