Abode Edit: Metallic touches for the Winter Season
Good Morning and welcome to Abode. We hope you're enjoying your weekend. Today we want to feature a long-term trend that's perfect for this time of year - metallics. Metallics, when used in moderation, can add just the right amount of glamour to your home, without looking overbearing or making the room appear too cold.
We have used Pinterest to source images for three different inspirations you could bring into your home, as well as a few suggestions from us! We hope you enjoy our article today, and if anything sparks your imagination, feel free to get in touch to see what you can achieve with First 4 Blinds.
Firstly, we have this gorgeous velvet sofa in silver:

Velvet metallics are the ultimate in luxury. They add softness and style, giving a dash of special sparkle to a study or living room. At First 4 Blinds, we particularly like the Scandinavian aspects of this sofa's design that creates a modern look. Another great thing about metallic textiles is their versatility when paired with other colours. You can choose a darker colour scheme as seen in the picture above with the navy-grey background. And alternatively, if you prefer brighter colours, you can support your metallic centrepiece with white or cream accent pieces.
Our second example are these stunning metallic picture frames

Metallic picture frames are an ideal and easy way to add modernity to your home. You could create an ordered arrangement as seen in the example above, or combine different sized frames to create a more personalised look. We like the contrast between the black and white images against the gold frames and can't think of a much better way to present your most treasured memories.
Last but by no means least in our edit today, we have these kitchen copper lights
Pendant lights are a timeless trend, particularly in kitchens and with new designs appearing all the time including easy-fit versions, why not make the most of this look in your home? Add a warm glow and ambience over dinner or a softer lighting option for a festive party. Rosy copper and kitchens are a match made in heaven!
