Create a Woodland Wonderland

Hello and welcome to Abode, our inspiration blog at First 4 Blinds. This week we want to feature a great winter trend, Woodland inspired home decor. Woodland themed items with a traditional aesthetic have become very popular this year, and it's easy to see the appeal. However, at First 4 Blinds, we believe that sometimes the sense of individuality can be lost when something becomes popular. For this reason, we always strive to work with new trends but with a decisively unique element to our work. When it comes to a place as special as home, we don't believe in 'off the shelf' style and instead opt for bespoke, customised design that's tailored to your unique scheme. Once we settle on a theme with you, calling upon our years of experience in interior design, we provide a free measuring and fitting service to ensure that your home looks its best.

We have used Pinterest today to find a few images showing a modern take on this classic trend! We hope you enjoy these wonderfully quirky interior ideas...

First up are two fantastic wallpaper examples from Scion, a designer we are pleased to stock in our Northampton Store.

Lovely 'Little Fox'

Whether 'Little Fox' is used in a child's bedroom or in a more grown-up space, it's a design that's sure to put a smile on your face. Each auburn bushy tail adds a pop of autumnal colour to your room of choice. This print is very versatile as it's available in a variety of background colours to suit any colour scheme. We think this print would look great in a woodland inspired children's room. Little ones can sleep soundly knowing that Little Fox is keeping watch...

Bright 'Barnie Owl'

'Barnie Owl' is a beautifully colourful print, it's bold and endearing in equal measure. At First 4 Blinds, we love that this design offers a subtle way to set a colour scheme for a room. If you're taken with the delicate owl design, all that's left to do is pick out the tones of the design and style your room accordingly!

Terrific Tree-Inspired Bookcase

Who said shelves need to be strictly horizontal? Our final Woodland Wonderland inspiration piece is this tree-shaped bookshelf. An interesting approach to a traditional bookcase, this design is perfect for making a statement. Also, as it's wall-mounted, it saves more space and re-writes the rules of conventional interior design.
